Jan 8th College Fit/Match

Student's will navigate the various college application platforms and find the best fit & match between the various Universities in regards to cost of attendance, having the desired major, and distance from home to help students narrow their University choices down to 3-4.

Jan 22nd Exploring College Types

Student's will be given a worksheet that ask their to research different schools such as Liberal Schools, HBCU'S, difference between private & public universities. Students will fill out the worksheet based off of their own knowledge and then a presentation will be given to provide the accurate answers for them to take home.

Feb 5th College Affordability

Students will get first hand knowledge on how to conserve money while living on campus and also gain knowledge on the mindsets students need to have before actually arriving on campus so they can ensure they have money saved or scholarship accrued.

Feb 19th Financial Literacy

Students will be given a presentation on the in's and out's of Financial Literacy as they navigate making a Financial Plan, understanding fakes & scams, importance of direct deposit, as well as many other topic's that will help inform students on how to be Financially Literate.

Mar 7th College Application Essays

Give student examples of various College Application Essays and help them understand where their writing needs to be in order to gain admittance into a few of those selected schools they have interest in.

April 11th Preparing for your next year

This will be our final workshop where we will be helping students understand what their expectations should be as they prepare for the next grade level. We will ensure all student leave with a checklist they can begin working on over the summer to ensure they are prepared for the next school year.
