We will have a Mobile Go Center at the Youth Academy to assist with FAFSA, TAFSA, APPLY Texas and much more!
The Mobile Go Center (MGC) provides college-going resources to primarily high school individuals and their families to ultimately increase the number of students enrolling and succeeding in higher education programs in Texas. It is equipped with laptop computers, high-speed 4G LTE internet access, and access to a variety of digital resources and publications. The Mobile Go Center project is an extension of the College for All Texans Campaign's broad efforts to achieve the participation and success goals of 60x30TX.
Resources for both portions may include but are not limited to the following:
- The Free Application For Student Aid and Texas Application for State Financial Aid (FAFSA & TASFA), including assistance with applying for FSA IDs by students and parents.
- The Apply Texas common application
- Scholarship searches and applications
- College checklists
- College guides and catalogs
- College 101 presentations
- Financial Aid 101 presentations
- College life presentations
What will I need to bring?
- Your Social Security Number
- Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
- Your federal income tax returns from 2017, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
- Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
- Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
- An FSA ID to sign electronically.
If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).
